Happy Birthday Oreo!!!

Did you know, today Oreo turns 100 years old? I was shocked, when I seen that on the news this morning. These yummy treats, are some of my favorites. Definitely Daisy's favorites!! Ever since Greg taught her how to dunk them in milk. It's their Friday night tradition. :)

Well, since my family adores them some Oreos. And it's Oreo's Birthday. I thought I should make a dessert with Oreos. Well, there are tons out there! Tons I tell you!! But may I point you in the direction, to these Oreo Cheesecake Cups. Can we all say it together...YUM!!

Oreo Cheesecake Cups

Ingredients:
24 Oreo cookies
3 packages (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
3/4 cup of sugar
3 eggs
whipped cream and melted chocolate (optional)

What you'll do:

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. Place paper liners in a muffin tin. Set an Oreo cookie on the bottom of each muffin liner. Beat softened cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add eggs, one at a time, and mix until just blended. Spoon mixture over each cookie. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until center is almost set. Cool completely then refrigerate one hour or overnight. When ready to serve, drizzle with melted chocolate and a dollop of whipped cream.

These are super easy to make! So easy, that Daisy went down for her nap, just before 1pm. I whipped these up, they baked, and are now cooling. Here I am, blogging about them, before 2pm. I told you, they are super easy!! And if I had all the ingredients on hand, chances are, so do you! Now can't wait to share these with my family. ☼

Baby Shower Gifts

We had our baby shower on Saturday. I know. A little inconvenient with Father's Day being on Sunday. But for us, it worked out well. Because both of our families came in from out of town. We had a coed baby shower. It was tons of fun. And we got showered with so many amazing gifts!

Things that I never thought of. I'm not lying. Both my momma and my MIL are amazing. And they got us 2 things that will be very useful for the first couple of months. 2 things I never thought of...

We got this Moses basket from my momma. I think this is going to be a life saver in the beginning. Just so we can have our little girl close by. And she is still going to be comfy.

And we got this cute bassinet from my MIL. Something else we really needed! Because we want our little girl to sleep in our room. For at least the first 2 weeks. And this bassinet converts into a little storage area for toys. So cool!

I think it's really neat that both my momma and my MIL got us these items in green. To match Greg and I's bedroom. Because, that's probably where we're going to spend much of our daughter's first 2-3 months. Let's be real. I'm a first time momma. And I have no clue what I'm going to be doing. Having everything in 1 room...I'm thinking, that's going to be key to our success!

And a special thank you to everyone that came to the shower. And who sent presents. We appreciate it so much! Much more than I could every put into words. And for everyone who helped put our baby shower together. Greg and I had so much fun! The games were a blast! And the food was delish. Our little girl is so blessed to have so many people that love her already! ☼

Weddings at 34 Weeks

Tomorrow, my good friend Brit is getting married. And we're in the wedding. Yes, 34 weeks pregnant, and I'm in the wedding. A gorgeous wedding. Beautiful dresses. Cinderella themed. And my big bump!

Lots of our friends were also expecting. But have had their babies. I'm the only 1 left in the wedding party that is expecting. It's an outdoor wedding. In our hottest month of the year. I hope I survive. And that I don't fall on my face. I've really been worrying about that. But I think I'll be OK.

I am really excited about Brit and Tony getting married. They've been engaged forever! It really has been forever. Some of our best friends. I know that they're going to last. Grow insanely old together. And have lots of babies. They love each other that much! ☼

We're Having a...

We're so excited! Yesterday we had a doctor's appointment. Our little one didn't want to cooperate. But after 45 minutes, we found out we're having a baby girl! Greg was so excited. It made me smile. Here all this time, I thought he wanted a boy. Now I know, he wanted a girl!

Today, I'm 20 weeks. Halfway there. And we need to start getting ready for our daughter. I should probably start with picking out some cute nursery stuff. And probably buying some diapers and stuff. But we're so happy to be having a little princess! ☼
